3d shibori is an elevated form of the traditional Japanese shibori dyeing method, transformed into sculptural textures through innovative fabric manipulation. Unlike flat shibori, this technique creates intricate, dimensional shapes by meticulously binding, stitching, and folding fabric before heat setting. The result is a permanently textured surface that holds subtle volume, shadow, and movement.
Due to the specialized nature of 3D shibori, slight variations in texture and form are inherent qualities that enhance its uniqueness. White fabric is slightly translucent.
